› stylistically idiomatic embellishment according to the performing practice of the respective style period is expected.
› Pieces that have been performed once may not be performed again during the competition.
› Likewise, pieces played for the pre-selection may not be repeated in the competition.
› The pieces are to be performed in each round in the order in which they are listed in the repertoire list.
› It is not required that the candidates play by memory.
