Christa Bach-Marschall Foundation

Christa Bach during the Prize Giving ceremony in 2014

The benefractress, Christa Bach (4 May 1934 – 15 May 2018), wass especially interested in advancing young, industrious musicians from Eastern Europe who are financially in need. Therefore, the Christa Bach-Marschall Foundation awards a special price during the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition: a stipend for young musicians to take part in a master class. The decision about the award is made by the jury of the competition.
