The winners of the 2018 Johann Sebastian Bach Competition
The 2018 Johann Sebastian Bach Competition ended with a festive prize winners' concert at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« in Leipzig on July 21st. 105 highly talented instrumentalists from 34 nations had been competing since July 11th in the subjects Piano, Harpsichord and Violine/Baroque Violin. Among the 18 finalists were six from the US, three from Germany and two each from Israel and Russia. In each of the three subjects, three bach Prizes have been awarded:
Piano
- 1st prize: Rachel Naomi Kudo (USA) - Image
